The City of Eau Claire is inviting proposals for the purchase and development of a city-owned lot at 100 N Farwell Street. The property is currently in use as the Railroad public parking lot. This is a great development opportunity located in the heart of Downtown Eau Claire along the Eau Claire River and between Farwell and Barstow Streets with an estimated 16,000 in daily traffic volume on either side of the site. The 41,850 square foot property has an estimated assessed value of $690,000. 

The ideal proposal will have pedestrian-friendly first floor commercial uses, mixed income residential units, a design which takes advantage of the adjacent recreational trail, and tangible public benefits (new jobs, business opportunities, affordable housing, etc.). 

Proposals should be submitted to the city by March 29th at 4:00 P.M. They should include an offering price, a brief description of planned improvements for the site, estimated market value of planned improvements, a summary of qualifications and development experience, and financing strategy.
